Valuation Tribunal

The independent body that hears council tax band appeals when a proposal to the VOA fails.

The Valuation Tribunal for England (and its Welsh equivalent) is a free, independent tribunal. Hearings are informal — no lawyer needed. If the VOA rejects your proposal, you have a right of appeal to the Tribunal, which will make its own decision based on the evidence.
