Disabled band reduction
A discount that drops your council tax bill by one band if a disabled person lives at the property with specific adaptations.
If your home has been adapted for a disabled resident — for example a downstairs bathroom, an extra room for their needs, or space for wheelchair use — you can apply for a disabled band reduction. The bill is calculated as if the property were one band lower. Homes already in Band A get an equivalent proportional reduction.
