# TaxBandAppeal

> TaxBandAppeal helps homeowners in England and Wales check whether their council tax band is too high and build an evidence-based appeal pack to send to the Valuation Office Agency (VOA).

An estimated 400,000 UK homes are in the wrong council tax band because the original 1991 (England) and 2003 (Wales) bulk valuations contained errors that have never been revisited. We use the official VOA dataset to compare a property against neighbouring homes of the same type, size and age, and generate a Valuation-Tribunal-ready appeal pack (comparison report + draft challenge letter) for £4.99. The VOA itself charges nothing to review a band.
